On August 27, the bow of the divided hull was towed and moored in Hachinohe Port by a salvage company arranged by the owner.


Due to the influence of the weather and sea conditions, it is expected that the oil removal work on the bow at sea will be prolonged, and in order to carry out the work more smoothly and safely, the shipowner / management company will be the local government, related organizations, fishery officials. , And other related parties, towed and moored in Hachinohe Port.


In the future, the salvage company arranged by the shipowner will remove the residual oil from the bow and land the cargo. If the work goes smoothly, it is expected that the work will be completed in mid-September for the removal of residual oil and the end of September for the landing of the loaded cargo. The Japan Coast Guard and related parties are continuing to investigate the stern.
